Contrasts Art Exhibit is the definition between light and darkness, color and design. Indeed, the point moves from realism to surrealistic aspects and into the abstract world describing perspectives of tri-dimensional scenes. In this art exhibit two media in one show invites the viewer to enjoy direct photography as well as mixed media. Nature and urban scenes are the themes of this art show.

Edgard Bernal’s Statement of His Art Work

The visual arts work that Mr. Bernal is presenting today is the compendium of more than two decades of labor. You will be able to appreciate different aspects of daily life ranging from nature to figurative themes in the techniques of photography and mixed media within the disciplines of impressionism, surrealism and abstract art.

In the world of photography, the visual perception seen through the macro lens of the camera and of the teleobjective lens with the help of filters, has permitted him to capture images not seen in the day to day world through the hyper-sensibility of the light; creating visual images of tri-dimensional illusion. Today, with the digital techniques, dimensions as well as volumes integrate and disintegrate themselves almost at the same speed as that of light.

In addition, evolutions in contemporary art have allowed Mr. Bernal to work in mixed media by creating a fusion between various techniques; for instance, photography with drawing or painting; photography with digital effects; and drawings or paintings with digital effects.
