Painting on location at the sites that inspired America's first landscape
artists including Thomas Cole, Asher B. Durand, Fredrick Church,
Thomas Moran and others, Miharu Lane compares the same sites of nineteenth
century with the vistas of today
through her oil paintings, watercolors, and pastel drawings. She has
traveled to the Catskills, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jamaica, and other
places painted by the artist of the Hudson River School.

This exhibition of the series "Painting on the Trail of the Hudson River
School III" includes the influence of George Innes,
who painted the sites at Delaware Water Gap in the nineteenth century.
Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area has been the closest
natural wonder to the artist. She lives in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
and works at East Stroudsburg University of Pensylvania.
Miharu Lane is an Associate Professor of Art at ESU. She is a prolific
artist who continues to paint and exhibit her work.
The museum and gallery
are open Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
The museum is located behind the Trails End Café on rte
611 in the beautiful town of Delaware Water Gap .
